Unifying 'Guandan': Proposals for Global Recognition and Responsible Development

In the 1960s, the card game "Guandan" originated in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, and gradually evolved from a grassroots game to a nationally promoted intellectual sport by the General Administration of Sport of China. Overseas, "Guandan" has gained popularity not only among Chinese communities but also among foreigners.
In an interview with Southern Metropolis Daily and N Video on March 8th, Mr. Qiu Huakang, Vice Mayor of Huai'an, expressed his optimism about the market potential of the "Guandan" industry. He suggested unifying the English name of "Guandan" to facilitate its global promotion.
