In April 2018, the International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) announced the Federation of Card Games (FCG) as its seventh official member organization within the International Mind Sports Federation. IMSA unites various international organizations in mind sports, striving for common interests and goals, supported by the General Association of International Sports Federations, to organize sports events similar to the "Mind Olympics," ultimately aiming to integrate mind sports into the "Olympic Movement."

Rights of Athletes

This declaration aims to promote the capabilities and opportunities of athletes to:

1. Non-Discrimination: Participate in sports without discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, language, political or other beliefs, nationality, social class, property, birth, or other immutable characteristics.

2. Transparent and Fair Sporting Environment: Enjoy a transparent, fair, and clean sports environment, combating doping and match-fixing, and providing transparent procedures for referees, selection matches, qualification matches, and appropriate match and pre-match training schedules.

3. Access to Information: Obtain timely and clear information on athlete and match-related affairs. Athletes have the right to choose to receive education related to sports while balancing work or academics during training and competition.

4. Commercial Opportunities: Create income opportunities related to their sports careers, name, and image, while acknowledging the intellectual property rights, organization rules, and Olympic Charter of events and sports organizations.

5. Gender Representation: Fair and equal gender representation. Protect physical and mental health, including a safe competition and training environment and protection from abuse and harassment.

6. Athlete's Representative: Be elected as athlete representatives within Olympic sports organizations. Report unethical behavior without fear of retaliation.

7. Privacy: Privacy rights, including the protection of personal information.

8. Freedom of Speech: Freedom of speech.

9. Due Process: Due process, including the right to a fair hearing by an independent and impartial expert group within a reasonable time, the right to request a public hearing, and the right to effective remedies.

This declaration encourages athletes to:

5. Respect: Respect the rights and well-being of other athletes, their entourage, volunteers, and all other individuals in the competition, competition venues, and ceremonies, refraining from engaging in political demonstrations.
