On February 24, 2023, in Huai’an, Jiangsu, the inaugural ‘Sky Blue’ Cup National Competitive Guandan Online Open Tournament was officially launched. This open tournament was hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China Chess and Card Sports Management Center and the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Federation. It was organized by the Jiangsu Guandan Sports Association, with title sponsorship from Jiangsu Yanghe Distillery Co., Ltd. The Huai’an Guandan Federation served as co-organizer, and it received support from technology companies such as Jiangsu Cable, Jilin Maiwang (MicroFun), and Jiangsu Dashih (Lai Ji Ju). It can be described as a national-level Guandan event.

The opening ceremony featured speeches from Director Yang Caiyi of the Comprehensive Development Department of the General Administration of Sport of China Chess and Card Sports Management Center, Deputy Inspector Fan Jinhua of the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau and Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Sports Federation, Mr. Zhong Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Yanghe Co., Ltd., and Ms. Wu Xiaodan, the origin of Guandan sports and culture, Member of the Standing Committee of the Huai’an Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department. Finally, the inaugural National Competitive Guandan Online Open Tournament was presided over by Mr. Qi Guanshan, Chairman of the Jiangsu Guandan Sports Association.
